Classical Scores for Classic Films

Rick Winston, in conjunction with Monteverdi Music School, presents:”Classical Scores for Classic Films.”

Saturday, February 15, at 1:00 at the Savoy Theater.

Often some of our favorite films have been enhanced by the use of classical music, such as “Fanny and Alexander”(Schumann, below), “Howards End” (Beethoven), “Barry Lyndon” (Schubert), and “Brief Encounter” (Rachmaninoff, below). We’ll see clips from these and twelve more films that feature Mozart, Bach, Britten. and others. Admission is $10-$30 per person. All ages welcome.
