Conversations from the Open Road

Run Time: 120 min.

Conversations From the Open Road is a documentary storytelling program for VT high school and college students. Last summer, a crew of 8 VT students, a UVM grad filmmaker and the coordinator of the program, all drove across the country to reach Oregon, exploring: How we can better care about ourselves, each other and our home?

Alex De Luise, UVM grad, has created a beautiful chronicling of our journey in all of our spiralling and making meaning while on the trip and once we returned home. We hope sharing some of our profound and generous moments in conversation with community leaders across the country and between ourselves offers everyone something to settle into and carry forward.
Montpelier High School’s graduates Sam Watson and Galen Kuehnl are part of this crew, and film.
Film is 80 minutes long.
Students and Film-maker will be present to share conversation, and a Q&A after the film.
