The Wild Side: A Documentary on Vermont’s Trout
- Thu, May 21
Director: Jake Leamon Run Time: 120 min. Release Year: 2024
World Fish Migration Day is a global awareness campaign celebrated every two years to highlight the connections that migratory fishes have with human and non-human species, lands, and waters.
We are celebrating World Fish Migration Day by screening a locally-produced documentary, The Wild Side by Jake Leamon, as he explores our local trout populations, their habitat challenges, and the people working to protect them. After this one-hour film, we will be joined by a pannel of local river experts to discuss local dam removal projects that will open stream miles for trout.
Tickets can be purchased on a sliding scale with a $10 minimum donation which will directly support the efforts of Free VT Rivers – a group of local river professionals who are working to restore and reconnect our rivers to support thriving fish populations, improved recreational access, and a river’s natural capacity to handle flooding.
At the concession counter, find a newly launched co-branded IPA, crafted in collaboration with World Fish Migration Day and Good Measure Brewing Co. Available for purchase
