It’s giving chugga chugga, choo choo, screech, crash, disaster!!! Join us Friday, June 12 at 7:00pm for the opening night screening of STOP! THAT! TRAIN! hosted by Katniss Everqueer.
About the Film:
All aboard the Glamazonian Express for a wildly over-the-top, star-packed comedy from director Adam Shankman (HAIRSPRAY) that pushes the parody tradition into full queer camp in the spirit of AIRPLANE! and THE NAKED GUN. STOP! THAT! TRAIN! follows best friends Tess (Ginger Minj) and DeeDee (Jujubee), two overworked train stewardesses stuck on the grim Stank Rail until they land a coveted assignment aboard the glamorous Glamazonian Express. But when a catastrophic “Stormaganza” threatens to throw the high-speed journey into chaos, they’re forced to team up with the first-class elite (Symone, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia) and President Gagwell (RuPaul) in a frantic, full-speed scramble to save the train…and everyone on it. A nonstop blast of gags, camp, and pure comedic velocity.
About the Director:
Adam Shankman is a director, producer, and choreographer known for blending big-hearted storytelling with high-energy musical flair. He directed HAIRSPRAY (2007), THE WEDDING PLANNER, A WALK TO REMEMBER, BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE, ROCK OF AGES, and more.
